In 2022 the match rate of MD seniors where anesthesia was their preferred specialty was 90% In 2023 that percentage was 83% It was the only specialty in the figure (see link) that had that large of a drop for MD seniors in the match Source: ▶ link - skip to 13:19 The 2024 data for preferred specialty is not out yet
