Anki ---> Overlapping Cloze!!! To get an idea of how powerful this is, look at the youtube Tutorial: ▶ link It is **very** powerful for learning sequences, algorithms and what not. Also, image occlusion may be worth looking at for some images.

You should be able to change the note type by clicking on the button in the top left corner of the window when adding notes. For instance, you can see me changing the note type at ≈▶ 1:47 in this video. What it says on the button depends on the note type that's currently active, so it will usually either say 'Basic' or 'Cloze'.
